The Tzero, at a California track this last August, went from zero to 60 m.p.h. in 3.7 seconds. For $220,000, it’s faster than, or equal to, the $281,000 Lamborghini MurciĆ©lago, the $224,000 Ferrari 575M Maranello or the $440,000 Porsche Carrera GT. Pretty geeky that it gets it’s juice from 6,800 lithium-ion laptop computer batteries.

You would think a guy working in a muffler shop would be keen to break the muffler installation routine and do a custom bending job for me. But no, yesterday I drove around for hours, from shop to shop, only to find in fact the dudes in blue overalls were too squeamish to do my designs. I’m bending 1 3/4 inch exhaust pipe to form curtain rods for 3 change-rooms I’m building for SWAG Clothing (another webless retailer). In retrospect, there was a guy at A.B.C Muffler named Ing that I think with some resolved but gentle persuasion I can convince to bend it for me. -in the end I suspect it may take the offer of a case of beer. -By the way, SWAG is moving into the old ODDBALL space at 489 W Hastings, as a result of the fire that leveled the Pender Ballroom. The Pender Ballroom fire hardly happened on the web what with it not being archived except on The Naked Truth”s forum. There was a brief moment when someone I know was thinking of proposing a nightclub development at the Pender Ballroom to owner Mark James. I think I read somewhere that Mark James let it slip that a club was part of his rebuild plans…

eingenradio is a project by Brian Whitman doing research at MIT Media Lab. The project has a bank of computers sifting through the sounds of dozens of radio stations, and generating new music, “distilled and de-correlated. One song on Eigenradio is worth at least twenty songs on old radio.” -
