The rising of mainstream XXX scenes into popular cinema. Pussy licking, blow jobs, hard-ons, pubic hair (i was going to type bush, but the word has been corrupted), and orgasms that show a different root than ecstasy slowly sliding into the lime light.

I wish I was there, in Istanbul. I remember this street. I walked along it many times. Would love to wander into it today. walk around a corner and see in the distance something odd. And as I got closer realize that I’m seeing chairs jammed in between two buildings. Doris Salcedo’s installation of 1600 chairs as part of the 8th Istanbul Biennal, 2003.

I wonder how long before this catches on in North America: A German bar has has opened the first “Kindergarden for Men”. “Women wanting a few hours of Saturday shopping in peace can drop off their partners at the ‘Männergarten,’ where for €10 ($11.64), the men get a meal, two beers and an afternoon of boy’s games, cards, conversation and sports on TV. ‘The women are issued a receipt for their partners when they drop them off and can pick them up again when they return it to us later,’ said Alexander Stein, manager of the Nox bar and creator of the Männergarten. “

In July we learned that AOL was planning to drop the Wasabi code from Winamp 3 because it was thought to have slowed Winamp down. So now we have Winamp 5, Alpha 1; combine the best of Winamp 2 and Winamp 3 to get “Winamp 5″. It’s pre-Beta, meaning it’s not considered a stable development release, but for the curious, and for those who like to be ahead of the game, the pre-release is an exciting download. -give it up for the developers of Wasabi who thought that their project was dropped just as they got it optimised and working faster. Too bad. Wonder what they’ll do with their code now…

RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE is to be released in 2004. Big deal the first movie wasn’t philosophical brilliance. Mila had a gun, a very big gun. Apocalypse seems to have anywhere from 50 - 100 million dollars being thrown at it. Toronto has the honor of producing it. There’s a revised screenplay draft dated January 2003 up at filmjerk, with a warning not to read if you don’t like spoilers. I didn’t read it, but knock yourself out.

Bought a ticket to Peaches @ Richards on Richards October 21. Her newest “Fatherfucker” is outstanding, solid euro-electro-rap-rock. all sexual, all alright. It’s really not possible that her show will be anything but fucking great.
The sound sucked for Goldfrapp at the Commodor last week. Fuck you sound person. Don’t come to work hung over/sick/thinking about your mortgage, not when there are hundreds of people who’s evening depends on you. Stay home next time!
