PayPal Donations.

Filed under: Uncategorized — giantkicks @ 4:17 am

+ I’ve been trying to donate some $$$ (I don’t really need a 200 gig hard drive) to a Canadian branch of any of the international relief agencies. They all assume everyone has a credit card, or will send a cheque. None of them seem to have heard about paypal. In the morning I’m going to drive over to the Red Cross offices in Burnaby. -the donation will be a late Christmas gift to my friends..

** donated $200.00. Felt good.

+ Eerie that last year’s holiday season’s earthquake in Bam, Iran happened 1 hour, and 2 minutes apart from this year’s holiday season’s tsunami causing earthquake off the coast of Sumatra.

Williams. Art. Work.

williams painting

I am surfing around and have seen much I could share. A little disenchanted with blogging at the moment. I want to be in my studio to recharge my self. Been working far more than I’m interested in, since May. It has drained me. Artists like Charles Williams invigorate me. Not that anything I do has anything to do with his work. I just like it a lot.

+ I’m through with commenting. My comments have been spammed every day to the point of distraction. It seems like the only comments I get are from spammers. So today I removed commenting from giantkicks entirely.

Anti Canadianisms.

Filed under: Uncategorized — giantkicks @ 10:39 pm

+ Some radical anti Canadianism from a faction of the conservative south (the south of south of Canada that is). I hope they’re not writing any reports for the United States’ Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies. Read the 1996 Strategy report proposing how to secure the realm in the Middle East. It includes removing Saddam from power.

Martin on CNN

Filed under: Uncategorized — giantkicks @ 1:25 am

+ I think Prime Minister Paul Martin spoke very well on CNN. I saw no room for misunderstanding. No troops. The ‘depends where we’re asked to go’ in context is clearly about supervising the election process. If we are asked to go and suprvise the elections, we will go. -and I think Wolfe Blitzer is a dick!

*** update: comment emailed from Regan

Hey Kent , Paul Martin was very impressive. I can see why you thought so. He dispatched Blitzers questions with ease and clearly defeated Blitzers aim which seemed to be to paint Canada as flaky and anarchistic. Martin explained the logic our Canadian opinion and stood up for them in a totally convincing way. Even Blitzer seemed won over by the end of the interview.

Why should I put it better, when my friends say it so well…
