Microsoft has released WGA Notifications application which effectively turned Microsoft Windows operating system into a ‘nagware’, with a “This copy of Windows is not genuine” warning. What the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications application does what it will check your Microsoft Windows XP validity. If it found that the copy of Windows XP is not validated, not genuine, counterfeit, unlicensed, pirated, illegal, unauthorised or simply failed the Windows Genuine Advantage validation process, then the notification messages will appear at various places and time.

Is Microsoft about to release a Windows “kill switch”? by ZDNet’s Ed Bott — Windows Genuine Activation is a mess. And according to one published report, it’s about to get even messier. If Microsoft’s online check determines that your copy of Windows isn’t “genuine,” will it shut you down completely? Microsoft says that just might be in their plans. Uh-oh.

+ I\’m not very familiar with Wal-Mart, other than the Lefty anti-corporate stance I take against any anti-worker business. Having read the following article, I\’m more open to them. –and what did I find there? Quotes from a secret Wal-Mart memo that point out stats on the dollar drain of unhealthy people. I’m not sure I totally disagree with Wal-Mart for considering these stats, having worked for a couple weeks with a lingering cold/flue. I see no reason to not work when your sick, unless you’re contageous. Too much coddling, not enough love of work for work sake.
