+ The very cool concept of DNA art by dna 11 was recently mentioned to me in an email:
DNA11 creates unique DNA portraits through an extraordinary combination of science and art. The process begins with the DNA being collected using a patented, non-invasive technique: depositing your saliva into a tube. This sample is then sent to our highly secure, certified laboratory, where the DNA is extracted to create a unique genetic fingerprint, using a technique that takes advantage of the variation that occurs among the DNA sequence of every individual.
- I wonder, is it conceivable that sometime in the future these images might be used to the disadvantage of their subject?

Thanks for posting this! My name is Adrian. I am one of the co-founders of DNA 11. Don’t worry this is *just* art.
We use a standard process to extract DNA that does not reveal any specific genetic information. It is impossible
to “reverse engineer” the information contained in DNA gel that we use as the basis of the art. For more information
